     Prayer & Active Service

The Pupil Of The Eye Cultural, Learning & Visitor Center holds regular prayer devotionals, fireside intros to the Baha'i Faith, and annual Stop The Violence prayer devotionals in the Sherman Heights neighborhood park, We offer children & youth classes and child tutoring services by request.

We sponsor and hold neighborhood cultural events, neighborhood community gardening projects, and offer elderly and shut-in food distribution services, art workshops for children & youth, and have adopted and serve Angie, Aliyah, & Arnicia's Angels - a service provided to a select group of seniors we serve that includes food service, transportation service, shopping and accompaniment services, and holiday gifting by adoption of the seniors by local Baha'i friends and supporters.

We now add The Pupil Place residence and residential services which includes homefront pioneer relocation services and travel assistance.

We are proud to recognize our collaborators who work very closely with us in much of our distance learning and service efforts.  Thank you Barbara Talley & Foundation Hall, The Baha'i Agricultural Network, The Baha'is of Birmingham, The Sacred Space Garden, Willie Williams of Studio 2500 Art Gallery, Christi N'Tchougan's Overcoming Racism Series, Frederick Murray Professional Services, Doug Gilbert of Conversations With Friends, and a special thanks to Charli Smith & Bill out of Atlanta and all of the in-kind and monetary donors & visitors that support the center.

We would like to give special recognition, with much gratitude, to Mr. Augustine "Uzor" Ogbue', Aliyah Aziza Ogbue's husband, for donating the main building of "The Pupil Place" Residence for homefront pioneers and traveling teachers coming to Birmingham & Bessemer, Alabama to serve.
